About the Scholarship:
It all started in 1960, when the University of Adelaide was given 150 acres of land in Bedford Park, South Australia. They wanted to build a second campus there, so they gave the land to Flinders University. Planned work on a new school building began in 1961. Australian Labor Party (ALP) chose to set up an independent university at the Bedford Park site after they won the State election in 1965, so it could stay there. On July 1, 1966, the University Act made Flinders University possible. It was named after British cartographer and explorer Matthew Flinders, who was well-known at the time. On March 7, 1966, only 400 students and 90 teachers were in the classroom at the start of the school year. Chancellor: Sir Mark Mitchell was named the university’s first Chancellor. Vice-Chancellor: Peter Karmel was named the university’s first Vice-Chancellor. Flinders University is a university with a lot of different campuses in southern Australia. The main campus of the university is in Bedford Park, which is 12 kilometers from the city center of Adelaide. Many academic facilities are available, such as a large library, uninterrupted Wi-Fi, and computer labs. Institution: INU and Innovative Research Universities are two groups that the institution is a part of (IRU). It works with universities in Asia, North America, and Europe to offer a wide range of study abroad and student exchange programs. York University and Carleton University in Canada, Zhejiang University in China, the University of Brighton and the University of Keele in the United Kingdom, and Universitat Paderborn in Germany are some of the institutions.
