How to Apply for Ella Entrepreneurs 2022

Only applicants who have submitted a complete application will be considered for the program. Here are the stages of the application process:

Application Evaluation

The Swedish Institute appoints a selection committee made up of high-level entrepreneurs and experts in the field and IS staff.

Each application is evaluated by two unique members of the selection committee.

Each application is evaluated according to the following criteria:

  • The business potential of the applicant (to develop an economically viable business model and contribute to sustainable development goals)
  • The dynamism, motivation, and commitment of the candidate.

Interviews

Of all the candidates, it invites sixty shortlisted candidates for interviews as the second step in the selection process. They then proceed to conduct online interviews.

Unfortunately, for the many requests they receive, they are unable to send personal responses to all applicants.

Admission

The Swedish Institute (SI) will contact 30 selected candidates by email and offer them a place in the program. SI also composes a list of reserve candidates in case a second round of selection is necessary.

I am from a country that is not listed on your website, can I still apply?

No, unfortunately, that is not possible. They can only accept candidates who reside in one of the countries included in the program: Algeria, Egypt, Iran, Jordan, Lebanon, Morocco, Palestine, and Tunisia. As mentioned on their website, they cannot make any exceptions to the eligibility requirements.

I am 21 years old, can I still apply?

No, unfortunately not. You must be born between 1974 and 1998 to apply to the program. We cannot make exceptions to these criteria.

Where do I send my application?

You must submit it through our online application portal, http://applications.si.se. We do not accept applications sent to us by email. A complete application consists of the application form and a CV, both of which must be uploaded to our online application portal.

I get an error message when entering my date of birth.
