What is the Clarendon scholarship worth?
All Clarendon scholarships cover tuition and university fees in full. Scholars on a full-time course receive a generous annual living costs grant, which is normally enough to cover the living costs of a single student living in Oxford.
In 2023, full-time students will receive at least £15,009. On the other hand, Clarendon scholars on a part-time course will receive a study support grant to help cover their costs at no cost.
In 2023, the scholarship provides at least £2,502 for part-time DPhil students and up to £5,003 for part-time Masters students to cover their costs free of charge.

How will I receive funds from Clarendon for my part-time course which has a modular fee structure?
For part-time courses with a modular fee structure, where the course does not have a fixed number of terms of responsibility, the scholarship will cover the academic fees that are mandatory for your course of study. Depending on the structure of the course, these may include an annual award fee, a registration fee, a dissertation fee, and your module fees. However, Clarendon will pay for the minimum number of modules needed to complete your course, but will not pay for any additional modules that you voluntarily take.
If I am currently studying for a Masters at Oxford and then decide to reapply for a Ph.D. at Oxford, am I still eligible for the Clarendon Scholarship?
Yes, you are eligible for the Clarendon Scholarship as a current Oxford Masters student, but reapplying for a DPhil. However, the funding will cover only the DPhil program.
If I have a deferred offer, can I get the Clarendon scholarship?
No, Clarendon does not consider applicants who have a deferred graduate offer.
The Clarendon Scholarship offers a fully funded scholarship package of at least £15,009 for full-time MSc and DPhil students studying a course of their choice at the University of Oxford in the 2021 academic year.
