Cost of Average Tuition and Living for an International Student
Every new student wonders how much of their own money will need to go towards tuition and paying rent if they live off campus. While living areas are dependent on where they are located within Chile, for example the higher living cost; the most expensive cities to live in are:
- Temuco

- Concepcion
- Valdivia
- Valparaiso
- Vina del Mar

- Santiago
However, even though the cities mentioned above are deemed expensive, that means only certain areas of the city remains expensive. Otherwise, all of the cities mentioned above are in the category of “best places to live in Chile.”
Student can expect to pay an average of $1,100 maximum for rent, food, clothing, utilities, and any other daily necessity.
Tuition in Chile will come to about $7,600 per academic year starting as an undergraduate. Chile is deemed as one of the higher tuition areas for international students but still relatively more affordable than other places in the world. As always, private tuition will be about $2,000 more than the public tuition that is available.
