Scholarship details
Applications are open for the fully funded GHC Scholarship, which is funded by AnitaB.org. This scholarship is open to students enrolled in a program leading to a recognized degree at a college, university, or high school at the time of application and who are teaching at an accredited college or university at the time of the conference.
Every year, students from all over the world visit GHC to embark on a new career. GHC Scholarships provide funding for undergraduate students, graduate students, and faculty to attend its three-day celebration.
Fellows who attend GHC will have access to career and education workshops, networking opportunities, and unforgettable memories.
Grace Hopper Celebration is the largest gathering of women in the world of technology. It is produced by AnitaB.org and presented in association with ACM. GHC 19 will take place on October 2 and 4 in Orlando, Florida.
Level/field of study
GHC International Scholarship is open to undergraduate students, graduate students, and faculty. The scholarship is awarded in fields such as but not limited to Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related technical disciplines such as Electrical Engineering, Human-Computer Interactions, Mathematics, Physics, or Information Systems Management.
Host nationality
GHC International Scholarships can be accepted in the United States. There are other American Scholarships available for international students in 2023. You can use these scholarship opportunities to solve most of your academic problems.

GHC International Scholarships are open to international students.

Scholarship Worth
Scholarships for students and teachers include:
- An application for the celebration of three days.
- Hotel accommodation (organized by AnitaB.org). Scholars receive a roommate. The students of the faculty receive their own room.
- Airfare booked and paid for by AnitaB.org Travel Consultant.
- Travel allowance (if used wisely, the stipend is expected to cover transportation costs to and from the airport, baggage fees, meals, and other incidental travel expenses.)
- You will receive the scholarship if you pick up your GHC ID card. Scholars pay in advance for meals on the day of the trip and for taxis/transfers to the GHC headquarters.
- The scholarships cover registration fees, travel, room, and board.
Eligibility for the GHC 2023 International Scholarships
To qualify, candidates must meet all of the above criteria:

Student Eligibility
- You must be a full-time student enrolled in an accredited program at a college, university or high school at the time of application.
- Must be a full-time student enrolled in an accredited program of study at a college or university at the time of celebration (October 2023). People who graduate before the ceremony are eligible only if they are admitted to another related program of study (for example, a master’s or doctoral degree).
- To demonstrate satisfactory progress in terms of a degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related technical discipline such as electrical engineering, human-machine interaction, mathematics, physics, or management information systems.
- Being able to be interested in the computer.
- You cannot have been an AnitaB.org-GHC Scholar in 2023.
- And you must be at least 18 years old by October 2, 2023.
- The candidate cannot accept more than one scholarship to participate in the GHC program.
- If you receive a scholarship and do not tell AnitaB.org that you will not be able to attend before the ceremony, you will not be eligible for years to come because you will deduct a scholarship from another student who could have attended.
What are we looking for in a student?
- Scholarship students are active in their community, including participation in campus computing/STEM clubs and advancing women in computing.
- Students know how visiting GHC affects them and what important messages or information it brings to their schools.
Faculty Eligibility
- You must be teaching at a recognized college or university at the time of the conference. We do not give scholarships to teachers because the conference does not offer a K-12 program.
- You must teach in a degree program in Computer Science, computer engineering, or a related technical discipline such as Electrical Engineering, human-machine interactions, mathematics, physics, or management information systems.
- If you are awarded a scholarship and do not tell AnitaB.org that you will not be able to attend before the ceremony, you will not be eligible for years to come as this will allow you to obtain a scholarship from another school you could attend.
What are they looking for in a college professor?
- Faculty academics mentor female students.
- Scholars are active in the computing community, providing support to computing clubs and/or organizations.
- GHC will have an impact on the researcher and the message you are getting back to your school and community.
