This award honors Amir Ghaffari, managing partner of Vinson Elkin’s Dubai office and head of its MENA dispute resolution practice, for his contributions to international and domestic Iranian communities. Academically strong students with a conditional or unconditional offer for the applied program will be eligible for the funding.

Eligibility for Scholarship

1. English is the required language.
2. Eligible Countries: All countries in the world.
3. For the Comparative and International Dispute Resolution LLM, you must have a conditional or unconditional offer (please note that this is a specific programme of study, it does not apply to those who are applying for any of the other LLM programmes)
4. You must be enrolled as a full-time student.
5. You must have the best academic record possible.
6. You must be of Iranian descent, defined as having at least one grandparent born in Iran.
7. You can have a UK or International fees status.
8. You must have submitted a Programme of Study proposal for the LLM in Comparative and International Dispute Resolution by April 6, 2022.

Application Procedure
To apply for this scholarship, please fill out and sign the online application form (link at the bottom of this page) and submit a 1000-word (maximum) statement in response to the following questions
‘Please explain why you wish to pursue the LLM in Comparative and International Dispute Resolution at Queen Mary University of London, mentioning the courses you are interested in.’ What you will offer to the program and why you believe you should be awarded a scholarship, emphasizing your academic and professional achievements (if applicable) and financial need.
We will also review the following documents, which were supplied with your program application. Please ensure that all of these documents are uploaded to the Queen Mary application portal.

Admission Requirements: Applicants must have a 2:1 or higher undergraduate level in a low degree or a degree with significant law content, or a 2:2 honors degree with other legal qualifications or an international equivalent.
