In honor of Cheryl Ann Keatley’s work in the areas of continence education and elderly care, a number of people and organizations have contributed to establish the Cheryl Ann Keatley Scholarship.

This fellowship is intended to provide financial support to students working toward the Master of Nursing, Graduate Diploma in Nursing, or Graduate Certificate in Primary Health Care (Aged Care) in order to encourage them to pursue postgraduate training in incontinence nursing (Aged Care)..

Scholarship Offer:

  • Every year, there will be one scholarship awarded with a value of $1,000; however, this is subject to change depending on whether or not there is sufficient funding to support it.

 

The Gustafsson & Skrondal Visiting Scholarship is administered by the University of Oslo’s Centre for Educational Measurement (CEMO). As part of the visiting scholar program, CEMO and the University of Oslo host a number of young researchers from Norway and elsewhere each year.

 

Eligibility for Scholarship.

  • To apply, potential candidates must:
  • Be an Australian citizen or permanent resident; Have applied to or enrolled in Flinders University’s Graduate Certificate in Primary Health Care (Aged Care), Graduate Diploma in Nursing (Aged Care), or Master of Nursing (Aged Care);
  • demonstrate active participation in caring for an elderly person and prove that they are enduring severe financial difficulties.
  • The selection will be made by a committee consisting of the Associate Dean (Academic) of the School of Nursing and Midwifery, the Professor of Ageing of the School of Nursing and Midwifery, a representative from Resthaven, and a member of the Keatley family.
  • The scholarship winner will be chosen based on their shown financial need and their demonstrated active participation in the provision of care to older people.

If a student enrolls in one of the degree programs offered by SOAS University of London, they may be eligible to receive a fee waiver award in the amount of £5,000. This award is available to students who are interested in receiving a degree from SOAS University of London.
