For a single student budgeting for $500 will allow them to live fairly comfortable in Ho Chi Minh City or even Hanoi. But the $500 per month is at the lowest minimum rate, this is for a student who is purely focused on their studies and does not intend to venture out into the city life too much. If a student wants to experience more around Vietnam, then budgeting around $1,300 would allow them to sit very comfortably.

With import costs on the higher end, and the possibility of needing a monthly transportation pass to reach a student’s university… accommodation on campus may be the better option. That is if the student intends to say money while attending a university as a full-time student.

Also, a lot of the scholarships available request that students are full-time students at one of the higher education institutions. This is just a general rule.
