Student Cost of Living
International students could find a one-bedroom accommodation for at least $110 USD per month. For other necessities, groceries, transportation, and daily needs will come out just under $500 USD per month. So, a student would need to budget for at least $630 USD for each month they are in Nigeria.
As always, cost does depend on which city or region a student lives in. Other areas will be more expense than others.
Cost of Tuition
Back in 2019, there was a national ranking system of which countries had the cheapest tuition. Nigeria only asks for $110 USD for the first year of working towards a Bachelor’s degree. With tuition and other fees that will be included, students may only need to spend $300 USD or less on their first-year towards a degree.
Nigeria gives incredible prices on their university’s tuition options.
Languages Spoken in Nigeria
What languages are spoken in Nigeria, and what language should students learn about before arriving in Nigeria?
The languages spoken in the country are English, Hausa, Yoruba, Igbo, Fulfulde, Ibibio, Kanuri, and Tiv. Nigerian Sign Language, Hausa Sign Language, and Bura Sign Language. Now English is less heard of in rural areas as is expected, instead students would want to learn either the Bura Sign Language or Hausa.
It is best for students to learn the language or native language that is commonly spoken within a country before deciding to move and study there.
I really love it
