About Northshore Community College Scholarships

Since 1985, more than 3,800 scholarships totaling more than $3,200,000 have been awarded to NCCS students.

Select scholarships are available through the NCCS Foundation for incoming students enrolling at North Shore Community College for the 2023/2024 academic year.

The NCCS Foundation offers more than 1,100 scholarships and scholarships that help supplement your college tuition.

While some awards are specific to a campus, program, or year of study, many are open to new, returning, and graduate students, most awards are based on a variety of criteria; Academic standing, financial need, leadership, volunteer experience, and career interests.

There is no save and submit function on the NCCS website, so when the applicant list is complete, be sure to gather and prepare the application requirements before submitting. Return to this site and complete the online application.

Most NCCS student awards require the completion of essay questions, the following are sample questions that can be asked on the student award application. Take some time to reflect on each of these questions and start making some notes to prepare yourself;

Applicants can view and apply for student awards twice a year:

Spring (March – July): For students enrolled in programs for the next academic year

Community Service Reference Questionnaire (PDF 92KB): A standardized form to be completed by a member of a community organizer who has supervised volunteer activities.

Common Mistakes to Avoid When Applying for Northshore Community College Scholarships 202 2

The following are some common mistakes applicants make on student award applications. To ensure that your application is not considered void or incomplete, please review these tips carefully.

  • Incorrect reference types have been sent. Be sure to take the time to check the type of referral required for the award, as well as who specifically can and cannot complete it. If the references are incorrect, your application for student awards will not be considered.
