International mobility scholarships to complete a master’s degree in Spain.

The AUIP scholarships – Mobility Scholarships for “AUIP Double Postgraduate Degrees” between Ibero-American universities have the fundamental purpose of encouraging graduates, from any of the associated institutions belonging to the “Ibero-American Space for Higher Education”, to take the “Double Postgraduate Degrees Ibero-American AUIP” selected, collaborating in the financing of mobility, in the academic year 2022/2023, of students who are admitted to these programs promoted by the AUIP.

The Ibero-American Postgraduate University Association, in accordance with what is reflected in its Action Plan 2022-2023 and with the purpose of continuing to advance towards the consolidation of the Ibero-American Space for Higher Education, published a call, addressed to all the associated institutions, which had the purpose of an objective to promote and promote “AUIP Ibero-American Postgraduate Double Degrees”.

In addition, the initiative is in line with the Association’s commitment to the 2030 Agenda and its Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), specifically with SDG 4 “Ensure inclusive, equitable and quality education and promote learning opportunities throughout the life. life for all”.

Having excellence in the field of teaching and research as a benchmark, the aforementioned call allowed the establishment and implementation of four new Double Degrees that make it possible to obtain, simultaneously, two degrees from institutions belonging to the Ibero-American Space of Knowledge.

AGREEMENT BETWEEN UNIVERSITIES
In this sense, the universities have established the mandatory agreement for the implementation of each “Double Degree”, which regulates, among other aspects, the commitments of both institutions, the requirements and the admission procedure for those interested, as well as the academic itinerary that their students must comply with, in accordance with the applicable regulations and their internal regulations.

OTHER OBJECTIVES OF THIS SCHOLARSHIP ARE
To consolidate the “AUIP Ibero-American Postgraduate Double Degrees”, as an initiative aimed at strengthening the Ibero-American Space for Higher Education.
Encourage the different institutions associated with the AUIP to establish channels of collaboration for the promotion and quality of Postgraduate studies in Ibero-America.

RECIPIENTS
These grants are aimed exclusively at students enrolled in one of the Master’s degrees (listed below), and who, once they have completed the training required at the university of origin (according to the agreement between the institutions), are admitted to carrying out the stay in the other institution, following the established academic itinerary.

In this way, under the aforementioned admission and the agreement signed between the institutions for the new Double Degree, it allows them to start an international stay at the other university during the 2022 annuity.

THE “AUIP IBERO-AMERICAN DOUBLE POSTGRADUATE DEGREES” IN WHICH YOU MUST BE PRE-REGISTERED OR ENROLLED AT THE TIME OF APPLICATION ARE:
1. The University Master’s Degree in Forest Management is based on Data Science from the University of Valladolid (Spain) and the Master’s Degree in Forests and Environmental Conservation from the National University of Colombia (Colombia).
2. The Master’s in Mathematics from the University of Seville (Spain) and the Master’s in Engineering Sciences, with a mention in Applied Mathematics, from the University of Chile (Chile).
3. The University Master’s Degree in Forestry Engineering from the University of Huelva (Spain) and the Master’s Degree in Forest Sciences from the University of Concepción (Chile).

NUMBER OF SCHOLARSHIPS
In this call, a maximum of 10 scholarships are offered for each of the “AUIP Ibero-American Postgraduate Double Degrees”, for those students who, being enrolled in either of the two universities and have met the requirements established in the agreement between both institutions, have been admitted to carrying out the stay at the other university, following the established academic itinerary.

What benefits do the AUIP Scholarships – Mobility Scholarships offer for “AUIP Double Postgraduate Degrees” between Ibero-American universities?

1. Each of the scholarships has a maximum endowment of 5,000 euros destined to defray the expenses derived from mobility, specifically:

1.1. International travel: the scholarship covers the round-trip plane ticket from the university of origin to the destination university, for a maximum amount of 1,250 euros.
1.2. Food and accommodation: the scholarship includes an amount of 625 euros per month to contribute to expenses during the stay at the destination university, up to a maximum of 6 months.
1.3. The scholarship is not intended to cover all the expenses of students abroad, but to help defray, totally or partially, the costs of travel, maintenance, and accommodation.
1.4. In the event that the student, due to unexpected circumstances that could not have been foreseen, stays for a period shorter than that initially proposed and accepted, the payment of the aid will be adjusted to the real-time of the stay.

a. The scholarships will be conditional on the applicant being able to start mobility at the other university that makes up the Double Degree, meeting the requirements that it has established and that they have enrolled in the Master’s or Master’s degree at the university in which they will carry out your mobility.
b. The scholarship and its amount will be paid as follows:
b.1. For international travel: the AUIP, through its travel agent, will provide the fellow with a round-trip plane ticket from the university of origin to the destination university, for a maximum amount of 1,250 euros. If the price of the ticket exceeds this amount, the student must pay the excess amount.
b.2. For maintenance and accommodation: the AUIP will pay students an amount of 625 euros per month of stay, up to a maximum of 6 months, and an amount of 3,750 euros. The amount resulting from multiplying each month of stay by the amount of 625 euros will be divided into three equal amounts, which will be paid to the beneficiaries through a transfer to a bank account opened in Spain of which they are the holders (unless the AUIP, exceptionally, authorize other options in writing) according to the following terms:
b.2.1. First installment: at the beginning of the stay at the destination university, after sending the Certificate of Bank Ownership (CTB) of the account where the deposit will be made and the flight boarding passes.
b.2.2. Second term: two months after the arrival of the student.
b.2.3. Third term: at the beginning of the fourth month of stay.
c. Failure to comply with the obligations of acceptance and delivery of the documentation required by the AUIP, as well as early return, except in the case of force majeure that has been formally justified, will entail the immediate reimbursement of the amounts granted.

What are the key dates?

Opening of the call: April 7, 2022
The application period will end on December 15, 2022, at 11:59 p.m. (GMT/UTC+01:00) in Madrid.
At the request of the universities that are part of each Double Degree, during the year 2022, two meetings of each Evaluation Commission will be held on the date that, according to the academic calendar in each university, allows to resolve which students receive a mobility aid for carrying out the stay at the other university.
