Scholarship details
For the international undergraduate students who wish to pursue their studies in the USA, the University of Chicago announce an International Merit Awards in the USA for the academic year of 2022-2023. Completing your studies with financial burdens are one of the reasons why some students are having a hard time in pursuing g their education. The University of Chicago understands the struggle of having difficulty in terms of finances. So, as part of their vision, the university offers the scholarship to at least ease the struggles they may be coping with to fulfill their education.
The University of Chicago aims to provide financial assistance to undergraduate students who wish to pursue their education. The university is known for its educational style that helps in developing the student’s knowledge and skills. Being recognized as one of the most influential universities in the USA, they are aiming to give the best education for all students who wish to complete their degree at the university and be more prepared for their career goals.
Eligibility
All international students are eligible to apply for the scholarship offered by the university. The students must be admitted to an undergraduate degree in any course offered by the university. The international students must have a secondary certificate with good academic records.
Application Process
To be eligible to apply for the scholarship, the students must be admitted or enrolled at the university in any of the undergraduate fields or courses offered by the university. The students can be enrolled in a common or coalition application process at the University of Chicago. All freshman undergraduate students will be automatically considered to any of the merit scholarship awards and there will be no application process to be required.
All applicants are required to submit documents to support their application, such as:
- Students Personal Statements
- UCHICAGO Supplements (these requirements can be enquired at the university for further details.)
- High school academic transcript of records
- High school certificates
- Letter of Recommendation
To be admitted or considered at the university, the students must be holding a high school certificate. The University of Chicago requires an English Language proficiency test such as:
- International English Language Testing System (IELTS)
- Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL)
- Duolingo English Test (DET)
Scholarship Award
The deserving international students will be receiving an amount of $2,000 and will be awarded for up to four years of undergraduate study at the university. The students must be able to maintain their grades to be able to continue with the scholarship award.
The deadline for application is until November 15, 2021, and will be offered annually by the university.
