The Carolina Foundation and the Spanish Agency for International Cooperation and Development (AECID) offer their “Spanish Cooperation Scholarships” program for American students.

These scholarships are aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) of the 2030 Agenda and with the triple transition horizon (digital, ecological and social) that seeks more just, sustainable and inclusive societies.

Modalities of the Fundación Carolina scholarships

Carolina Foundation Graduate Scholarships

Aimed at students interested in completing a master’s program within the academic offer offered by the Carolina Foundation.

The program offers two forms of support: full scholarships and study aid. The difference between the two modalities lies in the economic contribution provided by each institution.

In total, 236 full postgraduate scholarships are offered for the selected programs in Spain.

PhD scholarships and short postdoctoral stays

The doctoral scholarships are intended for teaching staff of Latin American universities. In all cases, they must be nominated by the Latin American university and their objective is to form networks between institutions on both sides of the Atlantic.

On the other hand, short postdoctoral stays are aimed at teachers with a doctorate degree who wish to carry out research in Spain.

In total, the Carolina Foundation offers 90 doctoral scholarships and short postdoctoral stays. Likewise, there are specific agreements by a country that co-finance this modality.
