Yale University will host its 6th annual Prize and Award, which is now renamed The Leadership Award to recognize and celebrate outstanding initiatives and contributions in significant resiliency concerning socio-ecological problems.

The Yale Chapter of The International Society of Tropical Foresters (ISTF) was inaugurated in 2014 to celebrate and recognize novel initiatives and explorable ideas in relations to tropical forest preservation and use.
In 2020, ISTF will be set to award out her 6th prestigious Annual Innovation Prize, in consonance with the aim, this award is open to an individual, group of individual, corporate organization or industry who have display plausible efforts and experience, approach, methods in restoration of the tropical landscapes in the last ten years.

Applicants must meet the following criteria in order to be in contention:
- Must have had an innovative approach that has been used
- Must have contributed to broaden the understanding of resilience
iii. Such contributions and approaches must be relevant to this award’s year theme
- Must have displayed leadership in his field, context or his community.
- Competency in presentation of ideas.
Number of awards;
The number of awards is two.
Value of award:
The recipients of these awards will receive their prizes in cash, and will be given an opportunity to present their experience or approach to the conference at the time when the theme of the conference is being highlighted. In the previous year, each recipient received a sum of $1,500
Duration of the conference:
It’s scheduled to span between January 30 – February 1, 2020
