Scholarship details
The Vera Yip Memorial Scholarship was founded to be of help to e cancer affected individuals who wants to pursue further education and have a better life. Vera Yip was an advocate when it comes to learning, inspiring and empowering other people. She believed that empowering others will enable them to achieve their aspirations and to face whatever challenges there is with heads forward.
This scholarship will be given to an interested individual who possess the motivation, courage and determination that was seen in Vera when she was still alive.
The total worth of the scholarship is $2,500 over two semesters. The fund will be paid directly to the successful applicant’s school of choice. As return, the successful applicant is obliged to participate in organizing and running a bone marrow registration drive in their school of choice to support the “There Goes My Hero” drive.
