Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) students often wonder how they can best finance their studies. One of the best ways to find college scholarships is to complete the FAFSA application as soon as possible. To help students, they provide SCAD scholarships for international students and Savannah College of Art and Design students who want to study Arts and Design courses but cannot afford the tuition fees.

This application will quickly tell you if you are eligible for federal or state funds. Students who want to attend SCFS (or are currently enrolled in SCAD) should not only attend the FAFSA in English but also check out some of the college scholarships from this institution.

Scholarships for currently enrolled students

Scholarships may be available to currently enrolled SCAD students based on academic performance, financial need, or a combination of the two.

To be eligible, students must be on time to complete a minimum of 45 undergraduate hours or 15 graduate hours in SCAD by the end of the spring quarter.

The scholarship application for current students is available online during the month of April only. Applicants are automatically considered for all applicable scholarships.

SCAD scholarship offers for college students vary depending on whether students reside in SCAD housing. Current students who have been accepted to study in an off-campus program may apply for travel scholarships. These scholarships are administered through the financial aid office.

#1. SCAD eLearning Pre-College Scholarship

SCAD eLearning Pre-College Scholarship is one of the SCAD scholarships designed for newly enrolled high school students.

To qualify for this scholarship, you must follow the first-time freshman application requirements, be recommended for joint enrollment by a counselor or teacher, and be admitted for joint enrollment.

However, this award can only be applied to courses completed as a non-degree-seeking part-time co-enrollment student.

Co-enrolled students who have taken non-degree-seeking courses and who wish to earn a degree must reapply as a degree-seeking students and meet all freshman admission requirements.

In the reward area, the scholarship is based on enrollment in three classes (15 credit hours) each quarter.

Tuition Fees: Receive up to a half-tuition scholarship

#2. Legacy Scholarship

Tuition fees: Scholarships of at least US$3,000

This SCAD scholarship is awarded to SCAD alumni who are interested in pursuing an undergraduate or graduate program.

Please note that once you receive this legacy scholarship, you will not be eligible for any other SCAD scholarships.

However, the scholarship may be renewed quarterly upon completion of a bachelor’s degree (or up to 225 attempted hours) as long as the recipient remains enrolled in SCAD and maintains a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0.

#3. SCAD Honors

SCAD Honors is a scholarship for Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) students who are graduates who have demonstrated exceptional academic performance while at the school.

However, to qualify for this honor, you must have Graduate Record Exam scores of 600 or higher on the verbal section, and 740 or higher on the quantitative section.

And also a 5 or better in the analytical writing section; a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or higher on a 4.0 scale; or presentation of an outstanding portfolio, audition or submission of writings, and above average grades and test scores.

Graduate scholarships are designed for students who are still running their scholarship-deserving graduate programs.

However, to get this scholarship, you must be a committed leader in your school with full responsibility in your faculty or department.

Please note that applicants must submit an undergraduate cumulative GPA of at least 3.3 (on a four-point scale) and must submit a top-quality portfolio and statement of purpose.

Qualified semifinalists may be invited to participate in an interview to determine the final selection.

These Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) Scholarships are for international students who are required to study at SCAD and have been accepted.

However, to be eligible for these SCAD Scholarships for International Students, applicants must meet or exceed normal admission standards and must apply for scholarship consideration by submitting a 500-word essay explaining how an international education would influence their works of art, goals, and experiences.

Scholarship Worth : US$1,500 – US$12,000 per year

SCAD Academic Scholarships are SCAD Scholarships awarded to students pursuing a career program at Savannah College of Art and Design.

Also, applicants for these SCAD Scholarships for International Students must prove their academic performance before they can be accepted.

#7. SCAD Achievement Scholarships

Scholarship Worth : US$1,000 – US$7,500 per year

Unlike the SCAD Academic Scholarships, the SCAD Achievement Scholarships are for students who have demonstrated excellence in all ramifications. Not only in the academic field but in general.

#8. Student Opportunity Scholarship

Awarded to accepted undergraduate or graduate students who meet or exceed normal SCAD admissions standards and who demonstrate financial need.

These scholarships may be awarded in addition to any other scholarship awarded by SCAD, as long as the total SCAD award does not exceed the cost of tuition.

#9. International Baccalaureate Scholarship

Scholarship Worth: At least US$3,000 and up to US$15,000 on a scale based on scores, per year

International Baccalaureate diploma recipients who apply, are accepted, and enroll in SCAD, having met or exceeded the admission requirements, receive an enrollment scholarship at SCAD, up to 225 attempts per quarter hour, or until completion of a bachelor’s degree.

This award cannot be given in addition to other academic scholarships.

#10. SCAD and ACA Alumni Scholarship

Scholarship Worth: At least US$250 per course

Awarded to SCAD and ACA students who apply for and are accepted into any undergraduate or graduate program at SCAD.

The application fee and registration fee are waived for SCAD and ACA students accepted into a SCAD degree program, and their SCAD transcript may be requested by SCAD admission at no cost.

This scholarship cannot be awarded in addition to other SCAD scholarships.

Scholarship Worth: The scholarship amount is based on enrollment in three classes (15 credit hours) each quarter. The amount is prorated for those who enroll in fewer classes.

Educators who are employed full-time or in an adjunct capacity from kindergarten through college level at a public or private institution recognized by the applicant’s state department of education at the time of application may be eligible to receive a half-tuition scholarship to attend SCAD. anywhere or through SCAD eLearning.

To be eligible for this award, an educator must apply and be accepted into SCAD and must provide proof of employment in good standing from their school administrator or human resources department.

These awards are available to qualified applicants for undergraduate or graduate programs at SCAD.

#12. Multicultural Student Scholarships

A limited number of scholarships may be awarded each year to help make the benefits of post-secondary or graduate education available to degree-seeking students from diverse ethnic backgrounds who apply for and are accepted into SCAD.

Students must meet or exceed normal admissions standards and must apply for scholarship consideration by submitting a 500-word essay that addresses how their artwork, goals, and experiences are influenced by their cultural background.

Awarded to college students who demonstrate outstanding athletic ability and individual merit.

Criteria include high school academic records, standardized test scores, recommendations, achievements, leadership in extracurricular activities, and other documentation of the ability to contribute to and benefit from the educational experience at SCAD.
