Scholarship details
As one of the world’s leading universities, the University of British Columbia offers a scholarship for international students “The International Leader of Tomorrow Award”.
The scholarship recognizes international students, to pursue undergraduate degree programme at the University of British Columbia in Canada. There is no specific number of awards, hence the scholarship can be taken in Canada.
To be eligible to apply for this scholarship, students must meet the following criteria:
Be applying for their first undergraduate degree
Be admissible to the first choice program they are applying to, including meeting UBC’s English Language Admission Standard
Have an outstanding academic record
An international student permanently a resident of Canada
Determine a level of financial need that would then prevent them from pursuing a UBC degree
Be entering a UBC undergraduate degree program from a recognized secondary school, college or another university

International Leader of Tomorrow Award winners will receive awards proportional to financial need ( no specific amount given). Financial need is determined by tuition fees, living costs, minus the financial contribution you and your family can make annually. A standard needs-assessment is based on the financial information provided by you and your family.
The International Leader of Tomorrow Grant can be renewed for up to three additional years of undergraduate study or to degree accomplishment. The award may be reintroduced provided to attain satisfactory academic standing in your faculty, continue to determine financial need, and maintain your Canadian study permit (student visa).
