Ph.D. Scholarship

For registered Ph.D. students teaching full-time modules at IBS. The GTA typically serves as an instructor in undergraduate seminars – however, there may be exceptions to this general rule based on academic or experience.
Since the candidate must be enrolled in a doctoral program at International Business School, fulfillment of the doctoral program requirements should take precedence over any possible designation as a GTA. Once applicants successfully meet the criteria for admission to the Ph.D. degree, their possible role as one of the tutors should be examined as follows, provided they agree to be considered for the role in the application process.
  • If the candidate resides in Budapest or is able to visit Budapest, they must hold a training demonstration, as required by all other job applicants.
  • If the candidate cannot visit Budapest, then he can demonstrate training or can be organized for a group of candidates at a location convenient for them; if they have relevant teaching experience, a Skype interview demo can be made.
Otherwise, the candidate may be able to become a GTA and teach from the 2nd semester, but this is not guaranteed and is subject to a successful on-site training demonstration in Budapest.
The Chancellor determines the determination of GTA status based on the candidate’s teaching and professional competence at the suggestion of the head of the Center for Academic Services (CAS).
