Applications are presently being acknowledged for ThinkSwiss Research Scholarships in Switzerland for American and Canadian students for the academic year 2019. The point of the program is to advance the research opportunities in Switzerland for American and Canadian students and to encourage the exchange between Swiss, U.S., and Canadian colleges and research institute.

ThinkSwiss is an official scholarship program overseen by the Office of Science, Technology, and Higher Education at the Embassy of Switzerland in Washington, D.C. The program is supported by the State Secretariat for Education, Research and Innovation (SERI) and in participation with the Embassy of Switzerland in Ottawa, Canada.

The ThinkSwiss Research Scholarship gives an allocated sum as indicated by the length of your remain: a monthly scholarship of approx. USD 1,600 for a time of a few months. Students must take note of that this sum covers just a part of the normal living expenses and that you will be requested to demonstrate adequate money related intends to the Swiss Cantonal authorities previously a visa can be issued. All ThinkSwiss scholarship winners will be announced by February 28, 2019, and must acknowledge or decline the by March 15, 2019.

In Switzerland, college classes are generally taught in the individual area’s national language German, French or Italian and graduate projects are frequently offered in English. Knowledge in the Swiss language would obviously be useful for students daily life.

The deadline for application is until January 15, 2019.
