Scholarship details
The Vittoria Dianna Ricardo Memorial Scholarship was founded to honor a simple woman who chose to live a quiet life rather than being in the spot light. Vittoria Dianna Ricardo, an Italian immigrant was remembered to be very hardworking but still managed to take care of her sick husband who was suffering from a kidney disease. She also had her own health issue and lost her fight against lung cancer in 2008.
To be able to qualify to the Vittoria Dianna Ricardo Memorial Scholarship, applicant must be determined in pursuing a degree, must be a cancer survivor or a loved one of a cancer patient. Applicant should be seen having that need for financial aid and has that willingness to go through a four-year degree course. Applicants should have at least 3.0 point average grade.
The total worth of the scholarship is $2,500. The fund will be paid directly to the successful applicant’s school of choice. As return, the successful applicant is obliged to participate in organizing and running a bone marrow registration drive in their school of choice to support the “There Goes My Hero” drive.
