Outstanding students from the entire Philippine archipelago can be eligible for the Stars Scholars Program which is a pioneering program that grants its recipients scholarship in undergraduate and graduate programs of the De La Salle University (DLSU).
Star Scholars fully enjoy a package packed with many benefits covered by the program. Besides receiving a full waiver on school fees while studying in the university, they are also awarded with special privileges. These include a chance to take any course related to foreign language study offered by DLSU in six units, advanced enrollment, assistance from the University Fellows, being prioritized in educational tours and special career assignment opportunities. Personal notebook computers are distributed among the scholars as well.
In addition, the Achieving through Integrated Monitoring (AIM) Program is conducted to ensure the full growth of Star Scholars’ potentials through a support mechanism to enhance their socio-emotional and spiritual aspects. Also, an allowance worth Php10,500.00 or around $200 USD is given monthly to the students for their school expenses.
After completing their undergraduate degree, students under the program can earn a master’s degree or pursue into medicine course (BS Human Biology students) or take a course in the College of Law on full scholarship.
Among the top examinees of the DCAT (De La Salle College Admission Test), the beneficiaries of the program are selected by a University committee based on the results of the qualification reviews after an orientation and a scrupulous screening.
