The MIT International Excellence Scholarship is now available. The scholarship is the direct result of the university’s desire to create an international hub where students from various backgrounds and countries can thrive and strive towards excellence.
MIT stands to show that the institute appreciates the contributions of its students and acknowledges their overall value both to the institute itself and the wider scientific community. The scholarship offered here is available to international students only who want to start an undergraduate or a postgraduate programme in any of the two trimester, meaning March or July.
The benefits granted by MIT to the successful candidates are fee deduction equivalent to 20% of the tuition fee of the programme for the commencing trimester. However, the scholarship may not be transferred to another campus.
In order to check eligibility, students will have to consider separate criteria for both the undergraduate and postgraduate programme.
The scholarship awarded to undergraduate students is based on the following criteria:
Students are required to enroll as full-time students for a trimester. The November or summer trimester is not covered under the scholarship;
The student must have completed Australian Year 12 or equivalent with an overall grade of 70% or more;
In order to apply, an essay of 500-800 words is required.
