The London-based Sharek Centre offers a course in contemporary Arabic emphasising on the importance of Arabic unity across various dialect. The course draws inspiration from the fact that Arabic speakers of various backgrounds still manage to communicate successfully with one another and seeks to replicate this in its programme.

Applicants will be equipped with the means to distinguish themselves as efficient and professional speakers of the Arabic language in a variety of social, professional and academic situations. Still, the course will focus on teaching fundamental skills such as formal and informal communication as well as written and spoken Arabic along with how to properly use the language based on context.

The certificate is an experimental programme and will enable learners to acquire the skills necessary to overcome cultural differences and familiarising themselves with those in the process. It will bolster the overall linguistic competence of the participants and will differentiate between the uses of Arabic, including business Arabic, academic Arabic, Arabic for law and broader everyday topics.

Applicants must be over the age of 18 and with the right to remain in the United Kingdom. In addition they may choose from a course for beginners and more advances students. The first term begins on 23 October 2017 and ends on 22 December. The full cost is £7000, however, a full scholarship is available.
