Scholarship details
SEG Scholarships is for Graduate and Undergraduate students who want to study the fields of geophysics and geoscience. This scholarship is for all the students all over the world. SEG or The Society of Exploration Geophysicists is devoted to promoting the education of exploration and the science of geophysics.
This scholarship is for the students who want to pursue or continue their Bachelor’s, Master’s, or a Ph.D. program, and awarded in the fields of related geosciences and geophysics. The scholarship award is amounting up to 500$ US Dollar up to 10,000$ US Dollar per academic year, a 3,700$ US Dollar approximately average per award. The number of the scholarship will only depend on the number of sponsors also for the amount they are contributing. This scholarship can only be taken by the successful students in the USA.
The requirements needed are:
- The students must be a high school senior already planning to be admitted to college next school year, a graduate college student or undergraduate.
- The average grades must be above.
- Students who intend to continue a curriculum in college directed in an applied career in geophysics.
- Students must also have a good communication in English, both in writing and communicating as English is the first language in the USA.
From November 1 to March 1 the online application is still accepted, students must also include their transcript of records all should be current.
The deadline for this application is until March 1, 2018.
