  • What do you see as the most pressing social issue we face? Why is it the most pressing?
  • Who inspires you? Why?
  • Provide three life goals you believe will be more achievable by obtaining your college degree.

Winners of the contest will be awarded cash prize money. The awards are $500 for first place, $350 for second place and $150 for third place.

In terms of eligibility, candidates should stay clear of any form of plagiarism as their applications will be screened for plagiarism. Judges will be looking for the most creative type of essay so it is advisable that anyone entering the contest should organize their essay well enough to stand out. In addition, candidates should stick to the topic and show understanding.

Technical and grammatical mistakes are complete to be avoided so students will have to carefully polish their essays. The use of any imagery should come with the license to use them.

Finally, all essays must be written in English and submitted in one of the following  formats:  .doc, .rtf, .docx or .odt.
