Scholarship details
The Reaching Out LGBTQ MBA Fellowship is a collaborative effort between Reaching Out and the top business school programs. The fellowship aims to showcase how business schools are the perfect avenues for LGBTQ to be able to develop their skills and end up in being active ally business leaders, especially in the future.
This LGBTQ MBA Fellowship program offers students with at least $10,000 financial assistance every academic year. A total of $20,000 will be given to students, along with Reaching Out’s leadership development programming and exclusive mentorship. A total of 55 members this academic year can benefit from this MBA scholarship, which goes around $1,300,000.
For students who want to be part of the fellowship, they could do so through Boston’s ROMBA Conference and LGBTQ MBA Admissions Summit. Students must belong to a business school that is affiliated with the Reaching Out LGBTQ MBA Fellowship Program. The school will directly offer the admission to students who qualify for the program. After confirmation, school would then notify the Reaching Out for it.
When it comes to MBA programs, LGBTQ students are provided the avenue to be able to identify them. If they want be part of the fellowship, interested students can simply demonstrate their leadership skills on their resume. Students should also send in application essays that shares their LGBTQ leadership experiences.
The fellowship is not only a scholarship for student but a collaboration of business schools. These schools will be responsible for the application of their chosen students in the fellowship.
