Scholarship details
In an attempt to recognize outstanding student athletes in the area, the Quad Cities River Bandits team owners, Dave Heller and Bob Herrfeldt established the Bandit Scholars Program. The scholarship is open to students in the area excelling in both the academic and athletic fields as well as other extracurricular activities. Charitable work, leadership capabilities, and other traits will also be looked at when the committee will be deciding the result of the scholarship. Amount of the scholarship is not mentioned.
In order to be eligible for the scholarship, the applicant must be a current high school graduating in the coming summer. The applicant must be a resident of either Illinois: Henry, mercer, Rock Island, and Whiteside or Iowa: Cedar, Louisa, Muscatine, and Scott. Applicants may also be home-schooled. The applicant must also be committed to working for a better living lifestyle in the Quad Cities.
To apply for the scholarship, applicants must be able to accomplish the application form and submit it to the email of the scholarship provider. Supporting documents must also be attached with the application to verify any claims.
