If you are interested into pursuing a postdoctoral fellowship, then the ICTP’s Earth System Physics section (ESP) has a good treat for those of you that are up for a challenge. International researchers, heed this call.
The initiative is a part of a EU-backed programme. As such researchers who participate will be expected to contribute to the completion and analysis of RegCM4 simulations using CORDEX domains. There will be post-processing of the output of the CORDEX.
The ICTP offers to those candidates that can distinguish themselves in terms of savvy and knowledge a great competitive remuneration which will go some way to cover all costs.
In order to be deemed an eligible candidate, you will have to be a holder of a PhD degree in atmospheric science, geophysical science or similar branches of science. Application is available until 8 December 2017, so we invite you to hurry up.
Today, science is painfully aware that the climate is changing at a rapid click and significant efforts are being done to study the potential risks of that unprecedented change. With projects and PhD researches such as yours, humanity may have a better understanding of how to curb the pernicious effects of climate change.
