Founded in 1920, Swansea University is one of the most reputable universities in the UK. Swansea University is a UK top 30 institution for research excellence (Research Excellence Framework 2014). Swansea University has been named as Welsh University of the Year 2017 by The Times and Sunday Times Good University Guide.
The subject of the project: Quantum information science is a vibrant research field, which at a fundamental level aims at understanding the relationship between quantum physics and information. This Ph.D. project is part of an international research collaboration, which is a combined effort of theoretical and experimental research. However, this research in this field intends to harness quantum effects for new ways of processing information.
Terms and Conditions:
- Successful candidates are expected to bring a high motivation for the above research topics, hold a master’s degree in Physics (EU/UK) or a related field
- This studentship is open to UK/EU candidates only.

- Academic References – all scholarship applications require two supporting references to be submitted
- Academic Transcripts and Degree Certificates – academic transcripts and degree certificates must be submitted along with the scholarship application by the funding deadline
