Megaworld Foundation Inc. has been offering scholarship grants to qualified financially incapable but academically excellent students who will pursue their first, second, and third year of studies in its affiliate universities across the nation. The scholarship program can be availed by students taking up engineering courses limited to only the following: Mechanical, Electrical & Industrial, Civil, and Computer Engineering. Besides the engineering program, the grant is also open to students under the following programs of study: Accountancy, Architecture, Business, Communication Arts, Hotel and Restaurant Management (HRM), Human Resources, Interior Design, and Tourism.
Students who wish to become part of the program must:
- Have passing grades in all learning area while earning an average of not less than 85% or its equivalent
- Have passed the university’s admission tests (for incoming first-year students)
Qualified applicants are then required to work on these documents:
Copy of Father’s and Mother’s or Guardian’s Income Tax Return (ITR) or Affidavit and Certification from Bureau of Internal Revenues (BIR) declaring Tax Exemption
• Copy of birth certificate
• Letter of endorsement from the school/university
• Two 2×2 ID photos
• Two 1×1 ID photos
• Family picture of the applicant with guardian(s)
After compiling the necessary documents, the applicants must submit the requirements to the Admissions and Financial Assistance Office or its counterpart in their respective universities which will process the qualification of applicants for endorsement to the Foundation.
After all, chosen scholars will be informed by the Megaworld Foundation Inc.
Benefits expected to be received by the grantees include full tuition fee waiver with miscellaneous fees, annual stipends, and job opportunity in the Megaworld Foundation Inc. and its partner companies.
