Mary Barton Freeman Scholarship is open to individuals who aspires to have better chances in life by getting an excellent education.
This scholarship is dedicated to Mary Barton Freeman. She was a loving wife, sister and mother of 3 who exuded great vigor in life when she was still alive. She was remembered as a person who lives her life to the fullest and enjoys numerous activities like cooking, traveling, learning and needlework. Mary passed away after her 3 years of fighting with Endometrial Cancer.
In honor of her memory, Mary Barton Freeman Scholarship was established by her family and friends. This scholarship to provide financial assistance to cancer affected students as a recognition of their hardship, determination and fight against the said deadly disease.
The total worth of the scholarship is $ 2,500. The fund will be paid directly to the college or university the successful applicant had chosen.
In return, the foundation is expecting the chosen applicant to be active in the foundation’s drive for bone marrow registry.
Student applicants are expected to complete their application forms and submit it together with the other requirements.
