Scholarship details
Lisa Higgins Hussman has always been committed to serving others through helping them in any way that she could. Following the establishment of the Lisa Higgins-Hussman Foundation, the Lisa Higgins-Hussman Foundation Scholarship was created in partnership with the Ulman Cancer Fun for Young Adults.
The scholarship amounts to $2500 and is nonrenewable. The scholarship is open to individuals who have been affected by cancer by personally getting the illness or by having an immediate loved one diagnosed with it. To be eligible for the scholarship, the applicant must be a citizen of the United States attending a university in a country under a 4-year degree program. The applicant must also be aged 15-39 years old and residing in Virginia, DC, or Maryland.
To apply for the scholarship, the applicant must fill out the general application form provided by the Ulman Cancer Fund for Young Adults and submit it to the organization. Applicants for this specific scholarship may also be eligible for other scholarships provided by the organization.
