The Baden-Württemberg Ministry for Higher Education, Research, and Art now invites every noteworthy candidate of academic merit to participate in the governmental opportunity to study a doctoral degree in Germany. This is part of the Fellowships for Individual Doctoral Training funded by the government and open to applicants who want to be part of this offer for the 2018/2019 academic year.
However, candidates must note that the programme is about to be reduced in 2018, so the complete number of total contenders may be reduced dramatically from last year.
All information about the funding of this year’s programme will be posted on the Graduate Academy website and it will be freely accessible by the public and all interested parties thereafter.
The scholarship is quite worth it, with EUR1,000 allocated every month, and additional EUR11 for travel expenses, as well as up to EUR350 for childcare, if applicable.
All applications must be submitted by 30 April 2018 for candidates to qualify and to benefit from this excellent opportunity, which comes once in a lifetime.
The scholarship has tight rules about employment. All doctoral candidates must ask for permission from the scholarship fund whether they can work outside the programme. In the cases they are allowed to, it has to do with the subject matter.
