Scholarship details
Students are now invited to take both a Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in the Netherlands. The Holland Scholarship is an initiative sponsored by the Dutch Ministry of Education, Culture, and Science.
The offer is extended to international students who are not part of the European Economic Area (EEA) and who want to do their undergraduate or postgraduate degree in a Dutch research university.
The scholarship will offer EUR5,000 to successful candidates. However, the offer is not a full-tuition scholarship and the grant can only be received once, for a duration of one year.
If you still want to apply, there is also a set of criteria, which you will have to fulfil:
- You should be hailing from a non-EEA country;
- You will have to sign up for a full-time Bacchelor’s or Master’s degree to be eligible;
- There will be specific instructions for every institution of higher learning you apply for. It will be necessary that you meet those as well;
- The successful candidate will never have studied in the Netherlands before;
The deadlines are rather generous, and you can apply by 1 February 2018 and 1 May 2018. The scholarship website can be found here. The website will also provide further information as to the application process.
