The Gates Cambridge offers a scholarship for all international student pursuing a full-time postgraduate degree, this scholarship are one of the most prestigious scholarship offered in the World. This scholarship was established in October year 2000, Bill and Melinda Gates foundation donates an amount of 210M$ US Dollar, the largest ever single donation made in the UK.
The scholarship aims to build a global network for the future leaders and committed to improve other lives.
Scholarships are awarded to full-time postgraduate degree in any of the courses offered at the University of Cambridge. A Gates Cambridge Scholarship ensures to cover the full cost of tuition fees, allowance, travel cost, they can also provide additional funding such as family allowance. To be eligible to apply for this scholarship you must be a citizen of any country outside the United Kingdom, applying to pursue the following full-time courses at the University of Cambridge
- PhD (three year research-only degree)
- MSc or MLitt (two year research-only degree)
- One year postgraduate course (e.g. MPhil, LLM, MASt, Diploma, MBA etc
There are two Gates Cambridge application deadlines:
October 11, 2017 for US citizens resident and December 6, 2017 -January 4, 2018 all other eligible applicant.
Note that all candidates have a short interview to asses about their criteria, Scholars will be selected after the interview.
