Eligibility for Scholarship.

  • In order to be considered for the Full Tuition University of Helsinki International Scholarship in Finland, interested applicants are expected to meet the qualifying requirements listed below.
  • Applicants are required to be students studying in another country.
  • It has been determined that you meet the requirements to enroll in the Master’s program at the University of Helsinki.
  • You are responsible for paying the tuition fees if you are a citizen of a country that is not a member of the EU or EEA and do not have permanent residency status in the EU or EEA area. You can determine whether or not you are obliged to pay tuition fees by consulting the Frequently Asked Questions section of the website for Studyinfo.
  • You are able to obtain a visa to enter Finland as well as a residency permit there without any problems.
  • You have performed exceptionally well in your prior studies and are able to provide evidence of this accomplishment in your application.
  • The academic overall evaluation, including previous academic performance and possible letters of motivation, as well as the reasons offered by applicants in their grant applications, will be taken into consideration when deciding who will be awarded the scholarships for new students.
  • You will only be considered for a scholarship in the category(s) that you apply for, although you are free to submit applications for more than one scholarship category.
  • Your application for a degree as well as your application for a scholarship will each undergo an academic evaluation as part of the Master’s program.
