Eligibility for Scholarship.
- To enter a Ph.D. programme at the University of Basel, you must already have or shortly get a master’s degree or its equivalent. In rare situations, we may also consider applicants who hold a 4-year bachelor’s degree from a university or institution that is not part of the Bologna system. These individuals will get funding to accelerate their Master’s degree studies at the University of Basel.
- At the decision date of the particular fellowship call, candidates must not be registered as a Ph.D. student at the University of Basel nor have signed a Ph.D. working contract at the University of Basel.
- Your application will only be considered if the following conditions are met by the application deadline:

If a student enrolls in one of the degree programs offered by SOAS University of London, they may be eligible to receive a fee waiver award in the amount of £5,000. This award is available to students who are interested in receiving a degree from SOAS University of London.
