The Carolina Foundation has opened its new call for scholarships to study in Spain 2022-2023, in a variety of fields such as Sciences, Arts, Humanities, and Communication.
Applications are not limited to individuals in Spanish-speaking countries, the Carolina Foundation invites Brazilian fellows as well.
The objective of the Carolina Foundation is to facilitate and promote the expansion of studies in Spanish universities for university graduates, as well as the specialization and updating of the knowledge of postgraduate students, professors, researchers, artists, and professionals from Latin America.
For the academic year 2022-2023, the training activity of the Carolina Foundation is articulated through the following modalities: postgraduate, doctoral program and short postdoctoral stays, teacher mobility program, scholarship programs, and institutional studies.
The number of scholarships and grants to study in Spain offered is 504, which are broken down as follows:
- 225 postgraduate scholarships
- 85 doctoral scholarships and short postdoctoral stays
- 27 mobility scholarships for teachers
- 37 scholarships for institutional studies
- 130 Ph.D. scholarship renewals

Carlos III University of Madrid, University of Zaragoza, University of Granada, Rovira i Virgili University, University of La Laguna, University of Cantabria , Polytechnic University of Madrid, Ramón LLull-La Salle University, Antonio de Nebrija University and other institutes.
Levels and study areas:
Postgraduate scholarships, doctoral programs, short postdoctoral stays, professor mobility programs, scholarship programs, and institutional studies.
Study areas: Sciences and new technologies, engineering, energy, environment, infrastructures, health sciences, economics and finance, social and legal sciences, arts, humanities, and communication.
Who can participate?:
All citizens born in America with a Bachelor’s degree.
Scholarship endowment:
It varies depending on the program you apply to. But mostly they cover:
- A percentage of tuition.
- Plane ticket to and from Spain.
- Health insurance.
- Some scholarships also have support for room and board expenses.
The economic conditions of each of the scholarships that the Carolina Foundation grants are those that appear in the “Economic Endowment” section of each of the published programs. In the case of doctoral scholarships, short postdoctoral stays, and permanent training, the economic conditions are those that appear in the “Benefits of the scholarship” section.
Conditions that must be met by participants:
- Being a national of a Latin American country that is a member of the Ibero-American Community of Nations or of Portugal.
- Not having residence in Spain.
- Have an email address.
- Candidates must be in possession of a University degree.
- Some programs require an English certificate.

Conditions that must be met by participants:
The applicant must meet the following minimum academic achievements:
- Bachelor’s applicants must have at least a 70% in high school.
- Master’s and Ph.D. applicants must have at least 75% bachelor’s and master’s degrees.
- For degree candidates in the field of Pharmacy, Medicine and Dentistry you must have at least 90% in high school.
- Be under 21 years of age for students applying to undergraduate programs. Be under 30 years of age if applying to a master’s program. Be under 35 years of age for PhD applicants.
- Graduates or those who will graduate at the end of the current academic year (before August 2022) can apply
Instructions to apply for the Government of Turkey Full Scholarships:
All applications will be made online through www.turkiyeburslari.gov.tr by the candidates only.
- All candidates must carefully read the instructions and warnings given in the application system.
- Applicants must submit and upload the necessary documents to the application system.
- Applications are free. Beware of third-party institutions or individuals making a request on your behalf for a fee.
- Turkey scholarships offer scholarships and university placement at the same time. Successful candidates will be placed within their priorities at a university and the program they choose in the application system.
