Through the provision of a variety of resources and forms of assistance, it is the mission of the campus scholar community to enable students to realize their full potential and make a positive contribution not only to the university but also to the city of Atlanta and the wider international community.

About the Scholarship Sponsor:

Emory University is a prestigious private institution of higher learning that was founded in the year 1836. It is the second oldest university out of the top 50 oldest schools in the United States and is affiliated with the United Methodist Church. In 1917, the institution established a medical school that was later given the name the Emory Unit. It began as an institution that only admitted male students, but in 1953 it transitioned into a university that welcomed female students as well. In 2005, the EU bestowed upon a recipient a medal that would subsequently come to be recognized as the university’s most prestigious award for academic achievement. In addition, a number of the most important research institutes, such as the Centre for Cancer Research, the Centre for Scientific Research, the Centre for Biomedical Research, and the Centre for Vaccine Research, were built. The 21st century saw the establishment of research institutes within the walls of the building.

More than 600 acres make up the main campus in Atlanta, which is located in the historic suburb of Druid Hills. Druid Hills is a pleasant, park-like residential area that was developed by landscape architect Frederick Law Olmsted. The site is completely overgrown with vegetation and is dotted all over with dense stands of oak and maple trees. It is made up of the Energy and Environmental Design in the United States, which is one of the most extensive inventory in the world. In addition, the site is home to some of the finest examples of antique antiquities that can be found elsewhere in the country. Within the confines of the undergraduate residential center can be found a number of research institutes. The school grounds are typically very quiet, which is beneficial for the pupils. It is equipped with all that the kids might possibly need in terms of facilities. In addition, the campus is located close to a variety of retail establishments that cater to the students’ most fundamental needs, such as restaurants, cafes, department stores, and several more outlets.

The university provides education at both the undergraduate and postgraduate levels. There are around 8,079 students enrolled in the undergraduate programme, and there are 7,372 students enrolled in the postgraduate course. Over the course of its history, the university has received the vast majority of applicants. It is being done in conjunction with a number of reputable organizations, including ACE, AAU, ORAU, NAICU, SACS, and IAMSCU, among others. The 9 different schools or colleges at Emory University each offer a variety of classes for students to choose from. The School of Law, the School of Medicine, the School of Nursing, the School of Public Health, the School of Theology, and the School of Technology are just some of the many schools that make up this university. In addition to this, the university is one of the four establishments that are regarded to be a part of the Tuberculosis Research Units Program. Over 3.9 million printed journals and over a million and a half electronic volumes can be found in the university library.

Alumni of Emory University include notable figures such as Alben Barkley, the 35th Vice President of the United States, Thomas Milton Rivers, the Director of the Rockefeller Institute, Bobby Jones, a famous golfer, Sonny Carter, a famous NASA astronaut, Kenneth Cole, the founder of Kenneth Cole Productions, Kim Dae-Jung, the 8th President of South Korea, Peter Buck, a guitarist in the band REM, and Fala Chen.
