Australia’s first research center committed to helping all Australian children have positive digital childhoods, the Australian Research Council’s Centre of Excellence for the Digital Child was established in 2011. The center’s study focuses on children between the ages of one and eight. The ARC Centre for the Digital Child consists of researchers from six Australian universities, including Edith Cowan University. The center’s leadership is based in the Brisbane-based Queensland University of Technology (QUT). Researchers at the Center perform cutting-edge research that touches on a wide range of projects that are interconnected across disciplines. Children’s health, education, and connectivity are the focus of these research. They give evidence in support of these three pillars. The Edith Cowan University node of the Center’s ARC Centre for the Digital Child is presently accepting expressions of interest from anyone interested in pursuing PhD research there. A primary program area would be used for this research.
About the Scholarship:
The city of Perth, in the Australian state of Western Australia, is home to Edith Cowan Institution, which is a public university in the country of Australia. The university can trace its roots back to Claremont Teachers College, which opened its doors for the first time in 1902 and holds the distinction of being the first tertiary education institution in Western Australia. In the years that followed the founding of this college, a number of additional educational institutions, such as the Graylands Teachers College, the Western Australian Secondary Teachers College, the Nedlands College of Advanced Education, the Mount Lawley Teachers College, and the Churchlands Teachers College, came into existence. These two colleges merged in 1982 to become what is now known as the Western Australian College of Advanced Education.
This institution was established in 1982. This educational establishment was elevated to the status of “university” on January 1, 1991, and it was later renamed Edith Cowan University in honor of the woman who was responsible for its establishment.
