Scholarship details
This year, the CGI is offering fifteen (15) scholarships to qualified international applicants (with the exception of Thai citizens) who wish to pursue a Master’s Degree at the institution. The merits of the candidates will be considered for making selections.
The Chulabhorn Graduate Institute (CGI) is a post-graduate academic institution that was founded in 2005 as a result of the initiative taken by Professor Dr. Her Royal Highness Princess Chulabhorn Krom Phra Srisavangavadhana. CGI is a multidisciplinary post-graduate academic institute. The goal of the CGI is to apply the most contemporary interactive teaching methodologies employed in premier educational and research institutions with the intention of producing effective thinkers and leaders who are better prepared to serve the needs of their countries in the pursuit of sustainable development. At this time, the CGI is providing courses that can lead to a Master of Science degree in Applied Biological Sciences. These courses include Environmental Toxicology, Environmental Health, and Chemical Sciences.

The Chulabhorn Graduate Institute was founded as a result of the leadership and vision of Professor Dr. Her Royal Highness Princess Chulabhorn Krom Phra Srisavangavadhana. The institute was founded with the intention of producing qualified personnel in the fields of science and technology, particularly in areas of pressing need for the nation, to support the country’s efforts toward sustainable development. Professor Dr. Her Royal Highness Princess Chulabhorn Krom Phra Srisavangavadhana is credited with founding the Chulabhorn Graduate Institute (CGI) in 2005. She delegated the Chulabhorn Research Institute (CRI), which serves as the core institution for the Chulabhorn Foundation, to spearhead the construction of the Chulabhorn Graduate Institute. CGI has been producing graduates of a high caliber for the country and the Asia Pacific area for more than a decade at this point.
The Chulabhorn Graduate Institute is a center for creating and developing high-quality persons in science and technology, both for Thailand and for the Asia Pacific area as a whole. Additionally, it aspires for academic and research excellence in the worldwide arena. Graduates of the Institute are qualified in specialized fields, which are in high demand for employment in academic institutions, government agencies, and private companies. Their education consists on conducting both fundamental and translational research, both of which are particularly essential to the promotion and stimulation of the environmentally responsible growth of local and regional economies.The Collaborative Learning Initiative (CGI) emphasizes an emphasis on interactive learning and teamwork, encouraging participation from students, staff, and researchers. In order for students to become future leaders in research and innovation for the benefit of society, it is important for them to learn how to think creatively and critically, as well as how to incorporate the skills they learn into their own scientific research.
SeNSS is one of only 14 Doctoral Training Partnerships in the United Kingdom that is sponsored by the ESRC, and they will be offering a handful of fully-funded ESRC doctoral studentships beginning in September 2023. Scholarship Offer:
- The scholarship will pay for the student’s tuition as well as other academic fees (such as enrollment fee, thesis fee, credit fee, laboratory expenses, refresher course, and production of thesis documents), as well as round trip airfare, visa fee, first settlement allowance, relocation allowance, accommodation, monthly stipend, book allowance, and health insurance, among other benefits.
- The scholarship award will cover a term of refresher courses lasting for a total of 6 weeks, followed by a period of 2 years spent studying toward a Master’s Degree, subject to an annual evaluation of the scholar’s good progress.
The Gustafsson & Skrondal Visiting Scholarship is administered by the University of Oslo’s Centre for Educational Measurement (CEMO). As part of the visiting scholar program, CEMO and the University of Oslo host a number of young researchers from Norway and elsewhere each year.
Eligibility for Scholarship.
- The following conditions must be met in order for an application to be considered eligible for a scholarship:
- younger than thirty years old
- Applicants must be in possession of a Bachelor’s degree in one of the following areas with a cumulative grade point average of at least 2.75:
- Chemistry, biology, the biological sciences, molecular biology, and environmental science make up the scientific disciplines.
- Medical Sciences: Medicine, Medical Technology
- Or the Pharmaceutical Sciences, Pharmacy
- Applicants from other fields that are likewise connected are encouraged to submit their applications.
- Have previous experience conducting research in scientific laboratories.
- Must have passed a recognized English language test, such as the TOEFL or IELTS, as proof of their ability to communicate effectively in the English language.
- Must include a statement of intent that articulates their interests in the research and why they wish to participate in it.
- Approximately in January 2024, the CGI will send notification of the decision to those candidates who were successful

The Chulabhorn Graduate Institute 2023 Post-Graduate Scholarship Program for International Students (Thailand) is open to all International Students
If a student enrolls in one of the degree programs offered by SOAS University of London, they may be eligible to receive a fee waiver award in the amount of £5,000. This award is available to students who are interested in receiving a degree from SOAS University of London.
