Each year Fight For Sight and Fulbright Commission award a scholarship in support of the pursuance of laboratory based researches to prevent blindness or eye diseases at any accredited higher education in the United States chosen by the awardee.
Fight For Sight has been providing funding to pioneering researches on eye researches in the past 50 years, hence; Fight For Sight has been considered as the forefront eye research charity in the United Kingdom. The organization envisions the future that everyone can see, through raising funds in support of pioneering researches to prevent eye sight loss and at the same time treat eye diseases.
The charitable organization has been investing to 35 universities and hospitals across the United Kingdom in eye researches making the United Kingdom at leading position in ophthalmic research.
Fight For Sight is partnering with Fulbrigth Commission in the belief of the positive results of supporting eye research and researchers. The Fulbright-Fight For Sight Award is a wonderful opportunity for UK academics or eye health professionals to continue research in a prestigious and accredited US based institutions likewise reaching other researchers and sharing skills, visions and knowledge with colleagues on both sides of the Atlantic.
Fulbright- Fight For Sight is looking for a candidate who has the burning desire in eye research. He or she must also be excellent cultural representative to the United States.This high prestige scholarship grant would give UK academic or professional the opportunity to the top researches in the prestigious research institutions in the United States. Opportunities of information sharing which would benefit both the scholars and the accredited institutions. Overwhelming cultural experiences that can lead to life-long friendships and collaborations will make the experience more meaningful.
The award offers $96896 for a period of 12 months starting academic year 2017/18. This includes travel budget, accident and sickness coverage, orientation and US visa processing.
