The Asian Pacific Fund is offering a scholarship through Frederick and Demi Seguritan Scholarship for incoming college students who are going to apply in an accredited university/college. This scholarship is only offered for first generation Asian American or immigrants. Aside from that, the scholarship provider listed their preferences for the prospective beneficiaries. Their selection criteria include:

• A background in community service
• Show interest in business
• Must have an immigrant experience
• Demonstrates creativity, strategic thinking, and resourcefulness
• Financial need
• Possess a great motivation to succeed
• Must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher
• Must live in the following cities: Alameda, Marin, San Mateo, San Francisco, Contra Costa, Santa Clara or Solano county in California
• Must be an incoming freshman who is already or planning to enroll in an accredited university/college in the school year 2017-2018

For applicants, the following documents are required to be submitted on or before February 24, 2018, which is the date set by the Asian Pacific fund.

• Recent transcript of grades
• Essays (the topics are listed within the application form)
• Resume (stating your school experience, community service, work experience, honors, and awards)
• Two letters of recommendation (one should come from your current teacher)

Failure to send the following documents will result in immediate disqualification of the applicant’s entry.
