European Molecular Biology Organization is an organization that compose of 1700 leaders in terms of research which promotes study in the life of science. The primary goal of the organizations is to help stimulate the exchange of scientific information, support superb talented young professionals and build research environment. EMBO aims also to help young scientist to enhance their research skills, promote their international works and ensure their excellence. Short Term Fellowships funds scholarship program in collaborated with EMBO to reach out and help young scientist to improve their research capability and skills. Short Term fellowships aims to assist collaboration in terms of research groups applying techniques which does not available in applicants laboratory.
The scholarship program has no deadline for applications. But it is recommended that applicant should apply 3 months before the proposing date. All application that received during the visit will no longer be entertained. Application will be judged according to the following criteria.
- CV- the content of the CV should be impressive.
- Quality of the project.
- The suitability of the host laboratory.
- Value of the exchange for the laboratory.
Candidates are currently or must be active in research. With a minimum of at least 1 year of experience at the PhD student level.
The Short Term Fellowship will visit the propose project laboratory to be developed for about 1 week up to 3 months.
The successful candidate will receive a travel costs and stipend plus subsistence of the fellow. The subsistence rate will depend on the country being visited. Application Short-Term Fellowship number and current address must be included on the applicants end report.
