Founded in 1920, Swansea University is one of the most reputable universities in the UK. Swansea University is a UK top 30 institution for research excellence (Research Excellence Framework 2014). Swansea University has been named as Welsh University of the Year 2017 by The Times and Sunday Times Good University Guide.
This project is partly funded by the Welsh Government’s European Social Fund (ESF) convergence. Professor Olgierd (Olek) Cecil Zienkiewicz, CBE, FREng, FRS. who joined Swansea University in 1961 is the person in whose honor of the late is this scholarship.
Terms and Conditions:
- This scholarship is confined for best students (outstanding academic performance with a minimum of a First Class Honours Degree or equivalent, IELTS at 7.0 or equivalent and ideally a Masters Degree and/or research experience).
- This scholarship is available for UK/EU and International students.
To apply, candidates need to do the following:
- Those candidates which are interested in gaining this scholarship, they need to submit a “Declaration of Interest” (CV that includes the names of 2 independent references, transcripts and a short PhD proposal).
- Declaration of Interest is invited from qualified candidates in any of the strategic areas of interest to the College of Engineering.
The scholarship fund will be allocated on a competitive basis. All applications which are made to the University without a “Declaration of Interest” will not be considered for the scholarship.
