The Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST) is offering the Embassy Recommendation Scholarship Programme for Sri Lankan students. The scholarships are available to students interested in taking graduate and undergraduate programme.
KAIST is a government-backed institution and scholarships granted under the programme will cover fees for a graduate and undergraduate degree at the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology for spring semester of 2018.
These scholarships are explicitly targeted at Sri Lankan students and applicants must have a previous year degree. Applicants may apply online. Students need apply before 29 September 2017.
KAIST remains committed to promoting education across the world and lending help where it is needed the most. This is easily explicably by observing the Institute’s recent actions. A growing number of government-backed institutions are trying to make education available to those gifted but otherwise poor individuals or individuals who have dedicated too much time to academia and lack sufficient means to put themselves through university.
This is partly because the price of education has jumped so much in recent years that it is almost impossible for talented students to get admitted unless they have the proper financial background, meaning that KAIST and similar organizations will have to step up and help.
