An education in wireless communications engineering can be obtained at the University of Oulu’s Centre for Wireless Communications (CWC), which is considered to be of the highest possible standard (WCE). An Encouragement Scholarship in the amount of 6,000 Euros will be awarded by CWC to a select number of the most promising candidates who submit their applications to the WCE master’s program in 2023.
Students are equipped with the information and abilities necessary to become industry leaders through participation in the WCE program. It covers a wide variety of topics, ranging from the fundamentals of radio engineering theory through more complex signal processing and wireless networking. Students will also get the opportunity to work on projects that are relevant to the real world while utilizing the cutting-edge technology that is available at 6G Flagship. You will be prepared for either an academic or an industry career in the field of wireless communications engineering if you get a master’s degree in WCE. Scholarship Offer:
- The tuition fee for the first year of study at the University of Oulu is covered by the scholarship, in addition to a relocation grant in the amount of 6,000 Euros, which is handed out once the student has arrived in Oulu. - Applicants who have earned their diplomas in countries other than Finland:
- a demonstration of your proficiency in the English language. Applications that do not include confirmation of language abilities will not be considered further in the student selection process. In addition, the final diploma and academic transcript must be provided in both their native language and an authentic English translation of both.
- The motivation letter should be between 500 and 1000 words. Please refer to the guidelines provided in the section titled “Student Selection Process.”
- A document that is free-form and describes the applicant’s research interests; sometimes known as a CV Research Interest document. Please refer to the guidelines provided in the section titled “Student Selection Process.” Please take note that the document describing your interest in conducting research is a required attachment to the application, just like the other needed materials.
- Applicants wishing to apply who have a diploma that was earned in Finland:
- The vast majority of diplomas earned in Finland can be accessed by universities via the country’s national database. The Studyinfo database sends requests for any attachments that aren’t easily accessible online inside the database itself.

- Are you interested, and do you qualify? Apply for the scholarship by going to the University of Oulu’s website at www.lyyti.fi. If you apply to the university in January 2023, you can also use the same online application to apply for the scholarship. During the time that applications are being accepted, the online application will be accessible.
