Scholarship details
DRD is currently offering a number of DAAD student grants on the merit base. This grant is targeted at students with a good academic record from Sub-Saharan African countries. This free bursary is meant to help these students chase a master degree in development-related courses at Master/Ph.D. Degree level.
The application for the DRD scholarships has two deadlines: 30th of June 12, 2019, and 30th of November 2019.
The course starts January – May 2020 and the study will be taken in South Africa and Germany.
600 Euros for master degree students and 900 Euros are awarded to Ph.D. students.
The actual host universities are the University of the Western Cape located in South Africa and the Ruhr University located in Bochum, Germany.

The number of available grant slots is limited and only nationals of sub-Saharan African countries can apply for the DRD student grants.
