The “DLR – DAAD Research Fellowships” is now looking for highly qualified non-German applicants. One position is still open in the fields of Space, Aeronautics, Energy and Transportation Research. Doctoral and post-doctoral students as well as senior scientist in the field of of Aeronautics, Space, Transportation, and Energy are invited to be part of ‘DLR – DAAD Research Fellowships’ programme. This new programme is actualize by  ‘ Deutsches Zentrum für Luft- und Raumfahrt’ (DLR) and the ‘German Academic Exchange Service’ (DAAD).

The German Aerospace Center (DLR) is a national center of aerospace, energy and transportation research. They are conducting their own research and is the space center of Germany. Their mission is to discover more the Earth and the solar system. They conduct research from the basic to most innovative ones. They run centers for large scale researches. The reputation of The German Aerospace Center is highly-regarded as they also develop environment compatible technology.

The German Academic Exchange Service or DAAD is the largest partner of Germany in providing information for international students in studying in Germany. It is the most efficient partner of German institutions in the field of international academic co-operation.

Study subjects include research areas in Energy with topic in Electrochemical processes and Degradation in Solid Oxide Cells. Fellowship value is given for the length of research stay in Germany. DLR and the candidate for the award will agree upon the length of the term. Please refer on the link for detailed information of the fellowship value.

Ph.D. in Fuel Cells, Electrolysis or High-Temperature Electrochemistry is an entrance requirement with qualification in heterogeneous catalysis in chemical engineering is important. Skill in practical knowledge characterization technics such as EIS, DRT analysis, Cyclic Voltammetry or Linear Sweep Voltammetry would bring the applicant an advantage. The experience in design and conception of the experimental setup for high temperature is an additional plus factor. Above all, the positive attitude in working with colleagues and the eagerness to work in a multicultural environment is of great importance too. Excellent English language skill is also required. Evidence of the English proficiency like TOEFL 550/217 must be submitted.
