The United States Institute of Peace (USIP) offers international students the possibility of taking a series of online courses with certification totally free, without the need to pay anything.
USIP aims to sharpen the skills of contemporary students, graduates, professionals, and peacebuilders by providing them with access to advanced learning tools and resources. The best free courses are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
People can easily adjust course schedules according to their own availability. They are designed to provide added convenience to busy peacebuilders and professionals.
The USIP drives the audience from diverse backgrounds through the sharing of knowledge, experiences, and ideas that have the power to change the world.
Online courses with certificates help participants to learn about different actors in the peacebuilding process such as diplomacy, security, development, and various political views.
USIP’s self-study courses are designed after taking into account the demand and need to be generated by the COVID-19 pandemic and emerging responses to systematic racism.

- Design, monitoring, and evaluation of programming in fragile environments.
- Religion and peacebuilding.
- Gender inclusion in peacebuilding.
Who can participate ?:
- Applicants from all over the world can participate.
- An IELTS, TOEFL, or GRE English certificate is not required.
- There is no age limit.
- The schedule is set by the students.
- Nor is it necessary for you to have a very high educational level.
Instructions to apply:
- Register for free on the official USIP website.
- Complete the profile.
- Select the course to take.
- Note: you can sign up for as many courses as you like.
Once you fully complete the course, you will receive the certificate stating that you were a participant in the USIP peace courses.
